BitMart Founder Confirms Exchange Was Hacked

On November 4 that, according to BitMart founder Sheldon Xia, the exchange was hacked on November 2, with a relatively small amount involved. The team has swiftly launched an investigation and bolstered security measures.

Xia said that preliminary findings indicate the attack may have been conducted by the same group behind the hack of the Brazilian exchange Mercado Bitcoin. Due to restructuring, BitMart currently only maintains its core team, leaving the security department severely understaffed.
