On November 6, according to CoinDesk, the crypto asset tax framework passed by the Greek Parliament has established a 12-month historical window for investors to declare crypto gains. Eligible investors are exempt from late filing penalties and interest, and taxes must be paid within 60 days of filing.
The report also notes that investors with annual crypto asset losses exceeding €500 can carry forward the losses for five years to offset future crypto gains. The framework imposes a 10% tax on personal crypto capital gains, while earnings from staking, crypto lending, and DeFi liquidity provision are taxed at 15% as interest income.
