July 28th, according to Bitget market data, the South Korean KOSPI index closed down 732.12 points, a 10.84% decrease, at 6023.63 points. The index dropped by over 11% to below 6000 points during the trading session, and it has fallen by nearly 30% this month. SK Hynix fell by over 14%, and Samsung Electronics fell by over 13%.
The Nikkei 225 index closed down 2566.27 points, a 3.95% decrease, at 62364.92 points, with Japanese stock Armored leading the decline by over 18%.
