Amazon's data center in Bahrain damaged in Iranian attack

Jul 28, 19:17

July 28th, according to Bloomberg, satellite images show that two Amazon.com Inc. data centers in Bahrain were damaged, which aligns with Iran's claim last week of using missiles to attack these facilities.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran released high-resolution satellite images through the official background media Tasnim News Agency, showing severe damage to two data centers located in Zaraback and Askar in Bahrain, citing the reason for targeting them as Amazon's support for U.S. military actions. Low-resolution independent satellite images taken by the European Space Agency (ESA) Sentinel-2 satellite constellation, which Bloomberg reviewed, also show signs of damage to these two facilities.
