Analysis: Bitcoin Long-Term Holders Transfer Holdings to Exchanges Nearing Historic Peak
July 28th, CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated in a post that the scale of BTC long-term holders transferring their holdings to exchanges has recently reached a high.
Currently, long-term holders have contributed 5.1% of the total Bitcoin inflow to exchanges. This ratio is close to a historical high, only surpassed in 2020 when it was close to 5.5%.
This change occurred after a significant drop in the Bitcoin price. Due to the use of 90-day moving average data, this indicator has some lag and the changes will not immediately reflect the latest market dynamics. In the future, this trend is likely to gradually stabilize, but based on the current data, the recent trading activity of long-term holders has been noticeably more active.
