HashKey Group intends to acquire full ownership of Singapore's APEX

Jul 29, 17:34

July 29th. According to official sources, HashKey Holdings Limited ("HashKey" or the "Company," Stock Code: 3887) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, HKDAG (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., has entered into a non-legally binding framework agreement with Asia Pacific Exchange Pte. Ltd. ("APEX")'s major shareholder and APEX, with the intention to acquire all of APEX's equity.

APEX and its group operate a comprehensive and robust financial market infrastructure in Singapore. As a licensed derivatives trading platform in Singapore, APEX holds the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) issued "Approved Exchange" (AE) license; its subsidiary, Asia Pacific Clear Pte. Ltd., holds an "Approved Clearing House" (ACH) license, enabling comprehensive issuance and settlement capabilities. Under Singapore's stringent regulatory framework, currently, only three institutions hold both types of licenses simultaneously.

If the proposed acquisition is successfully completed, HashKey is poised to further enhance its institutional market-facing trading and clearing infrastructure layout, driving the development of a new generation financial infrastructure covering trading, custody, payments, clearing, and settlement. This will enhance the comprehensive service capabilities for financial institutions and institutional market participants.
