Analysis: Binance Whale Inflow Ratio Hits 4-Month High, Exacerbating Bitcoin Selling Pressure
August 5th, CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated in a post that Binance's Whale Inflow Ratio has risen to 0.52, hitting a 4-month high.
Currently, Bitcoin is still trading sideways in the $60,000 to $65,000 range. Whale activity has intensified compared to retail traders and small holders, with a higher amount of BTC being sent to Binance than other participants, increasing selling pressure on Bitcoin.
Historically, sharp increases in this ratio have occurred at market tops and bottoms, both accompanied by panic and capitulation selling. Given the current low volatility environment, once this phase passes, the indicator is likely to quickly return to normal. Subsequent attention is needed to see if this trend persists.
