Iran: Won't Open Strait Even If Deal Reached If U.S. Continues Violations

August 5th, according to Iran's Tasnim News Agency citing an informed source, Iran and Oman may have reached an agreement on the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, which is unrelated to the immediate opening of the strait. The negotiations on the arrangement for ships to pass through the strait are entirely a matter between Iran and Oman and have nothing to do with the United States. If the U.S. continues its violations, even if Iran and Oman reach an agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened.
