August 8th. According to Bloomberg, the 25-year-old Wall Street's rising AI stock guru and former OpenAI researcher, Leopold Aschenbrenner, has returned to the investment stage after his hedge fund was on the brink of collapse. He has lavishly thrown $400 million to support a privately held company backed by Sequoia Capital. Today it was revealed that the private company is Source Foundry, a chip manufacturing startup. The fund had previously invested $1 billion in Source Foundry, and with this additional $400 million, the total investment in Source Foundry has reached $5 billion.

This investment, completed on Tuesday, is the first signal of how Aschenbrenner is cleaning up the mess after his Situational Awareness Fund nearly collapsed last week due to multiple margin calls from several Wall Street lenders.
