Avenir Group's Crypto-Friendly Securities Platform UMX Enters Public Beta
August 10. According to official sources, UMX (The Unified Market Exchange), hatched by Li Lin's Avenir Group, announced the start of an invitation-only public beta.
UMX is positioned as a crypto-friendly securities platform for global professional investors, bridging the gap between crypto assets and traditional securities trading on the same platform to enhance cross-asset trading efficiency. During the public beta phase, the platform will open up spot, margin, futures, and options trading for crypto assets, as well as support trading of real US stocks, ETFs, and US stock options.
This beta test focuses on opening up the fund linkage between crypto assets and securities accounts. UMX has designed mechanisms for cross-market fund transfers, financing, and coin-to-stock conversion. Users can use the "Exchange Transfer" feature to automatically convert stablecoins like USDT to USD and transfer them into their securities account with just one click. They can also use the "Lending Transfer" feature to collateralize non-stablecoins and other crypto assets to gain purchasing power for trading US stocks, ETFs, and US stock options. After completing fiat account verification, users can also open a fiat account in their own name for fiat deposits and withdrawals. Securities holdings can also be converted to corresponding stock tokens through the "Stock-to-Coin" feature, and based on the corresponding discount rate, they will be counted as collateral in the crypto trading account. The stock tokens can also be converted back to the corresponding securities assets.
Around the efficiency of cross-asset funding, the platform introduces a cross-asset margin mechanism, allowing qualified financial assets to be used as margin. During the beta period, the platform also launched BTC and USDT financial products with a maximum annualized yield of up to 2.5% and 5.5%, respectively. UMX stated that this model aims to reduce the operational costs incurred by professional investors due to frequent fund transfers and account management diversification and provide a unified fund and risk management framework for cross-asset allocation.
This beta test is conducted by invitation only. Users who have obtained beta codes can register through the UMX official website to experience the products and services currently available. Users who have not yet received beta codes can make reservations for the official version, receive launch notifications, and participate in the early bird benefits program.
