Aug 11, 08:10

August 11th, according to sources familiar with the matter, the one-year-old startup Applied Compute is reportedly discussing a new round of financing with a valuation expected to reach around $3 billion, more than doubling from the valuation announced in the previous funding round four months ago. The company is dedicated to helping enterprises leverage their proprietary data to run and customize open-source models. This financing round comes as the company has recently seen strong revenue growth. The sources stated that Applied Compute's current annualized revenue is around $50 million, nearly quadrupling from the revenue level disclosed by its CEO Yash Patil in November last year.

According to the source, investor Elad Gil is in talks to lead this round of financing, with the funding amount expected to reach hundreds of millions of dollars. It is currently unclear whether the valuation includes the newly injected funds. The round of financing has not been finalized yet, and specific terms may still change.
