JPMorgan Chase Leads $441 million Debt Financing for Global AI
August 11th. According to Bloomberg, Global AI, a two-year-old AI infrastructure company, has secured a $441 million debt financing led by JPMorgan to meet the growing demand for AI data centers. JPMorgan was responsible for arranging the credit facility, with other unnamed lenders participating.
Founded in 2024, Global AI was established by a group of senior industry professionals, with a focus on providing more secure and cost-effective AI infrastructure for private enterprises and sovereign nations. As the costs of AI chips and data center construction continue to rise, more and more tech companies are relying on both venture capital and debt financing to raise funds.
Global AI CEO Sami Issa stated that the company has already secured contracts worth $6.2 billion, with $1 billion corresponding to completed and delivered projects. The company expects to have 1GW of available computing power capacity by 2029, equivalent to being able to meet the electricity needs of approximately 750,000 American households simultaneously.
