August 12th. Amid the stagnation of the "Cryptocurrency Market Structure Bill" (known as the CLARITY Act) in the U.S. Congress, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is preparing to roll out two significant initiatives in the coming days, potentially further boosting the U.S. cryptocurrency industry. The SEC announced that it will hold a public meeting on Friday to "create a customized issuance mechanism for certain investment contracts involving crypto assets." Additionally, the SEC plans to soon unveil the so-called "Innovation Exemption," allowing for the trading of digital versions of securities. This move could reshape the U.S. stock market landscape and pave the way for 24/7 trading of stock tokens on the blockchain.
