AMD's Fourth Quarter Revenue Surges to $11.12 Billion, Nearly Doubling Year-over-Year; Stock Surges 7.56% in After-Hours Trading

August 12th, Super Micro Computer Inc. (SMCI) released its Q4 FY2026 financial report, with revenue of $11.12 billion, nearly doubling from the previous year's $5.76 billion. However, it was slightly below analysts' expectations of $11.3 billion to $11.6 billion, mainly due to customer delays in power, cooling, and networking. The gross margin significantly improved to 17.5%, exceeding not only the company's preliminary forecast of 15% to 17% last month but also far surpassing the initial expectation of 8.2% to 8.4%. Adjusted earnings per share were $1.70, well above analysts' expectations of $0.92; net income was $1.17 billion, compared to only $195.2 million in the same period last year.

The company also provided strong guidance: It expects revenue of $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion for the first quarter (ending in September), adjusted earnings per share of $1.01 to $1.10, significantly higher than analysts' expectations of around $12 billion; FY2027 revenue guidance is $65 billion to $72 billion, far exceeding analysts' expectations of $52.5 billion to $54.4 billion. New orders exceeded $60 billion, with a record backlog of orders. In FY2026, 9 customers each contributed over $1 billion in revenue, compared to 4 in the previous year.
