South Korea's KOSPI Index opened up 1.18%, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix both rising over 1%.

August 12th, according to Bitget market data, the South Korean KOSPI index opened up 75.05 points, a 1.18% increase, to 6420.58 points. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix both rose by over 1%.

The Nikkei 225 index opened up 17.26 points, a 0.03% increase, to 66987.48 points.
