August 12th - According to Reuters, a senior Iranian official stated: "There is currently no discussion between Iran and the United States on extending the ceasefire. From Iran's perspective, the ceasefire has no effective date, so there is no need to extend it. The United States violated the interim agreement 48 hours after reaching it and withdrew from the agreement a few days later. One of the current topics under discussion is the U.S. rejoining the Memorandum of Understanding and determining the timeframe for the U.S. to fulfill its related commitments."
