CoreWeave Extends NVIDIA A100 GPU Leasing Period to 2029, Older GPUs Still Profitable

August 13th, Chief Financial Officer of AI cloud company CoreWeave, Nitin Agrawal, told analysts that CoreWeave recently signed a contract to extend the lease of NVIDIA's A100 GPU until 2029. NVIDIA launched the A100 in 2020.

This means that customers have committed to using these chips for running AI workloads about nine years after their release.
