Tiger Brokers Options Insider Trading Case: 45 Individuals Implicated, Total Profits Amount to $155 million

August 13th, according to Caixin, after more than a month of broker data retrieval and individual trade analysis, the plaintiff in the US options market maker case, Citadel Securities and Susquehanna International Group, has significantly narrowed the scope of the suspected Futu Tiger Brokers Options insider trading case to 47 accounts controlled by 45 individuals.

After comparing trade profits, returns, contract quantities, expiration times, brokers, locations, and opening positions on a per-account basis, the overall profit from the suspected insider trading has increased to $155 million. The specific list of the 45 individuals has not been disclosed, but the vast majority are located outside the United States, with many residing in Mainland China and Hong Kong. One individual controls three accounts. Some individuals have made profits of tens of millions of dollars, with the least profitable still earning hundreds of thousands of dollars.
