A residence in France targeted three times due to former owner being a "Crypto Whale," two thieves sentenced

August 13th, in the French department of Somme, a residence was targeted by three groups of robbers in less than a month due to the previous owner's cryptocurrency wealth, which was suspected to have been leaked to the dark web. The current owner was demanded ransom in cryptocurrency, even though they do not actually hold any related digital assets. During one of the intrusions, the victim was tied up and assaulted. The two individuals involved in the third break-in have recently been sentenced to 3 years and 18 months in prison. (Protos)
