According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, Jeff Dean's AI startup Discovery Loop is in talks to raise about $1 billion, with a target valuation of around $100 billion. The deal is currently not finalized, and specific terms may still change.
Discovery Loop was founded by four former Google core technical staff: Jeff Dean, Sanjay Ghemawat, Quoc Le, and Oriol Vinyals. The company aims to enable AI to propose experiments, run experiments, and iterate based on the results automatically, initially focusing on improving AI and later expanding into chip, drug, and material research.
