Opinion: Trump is the primary person responsible for the blockage of the CLARITY Act.

September 16: Well-known KOL Brady Dale posted that the primary person responsible for blocking the CLARITY Act is U.S. President Trump, due to his launch of the TRUMP token. Brady Dale believes the second person responsible is Senator Tim Scott, whose insistence that the Senate draft its own version of the bill further drained the momentum that remained after the GENIUS Act; the third person responsible is Senator Cynthia Lummis.

Brady Dale said he already believed last fall that the bill was "dead," and Lummis's announcement of retirement made him view the bill's prospects as even dimmer. Brady Dale also said SEC Chairman Paul Atkins may still alleviate the situation to some extent, and said that day's outcome was not surprising, adding that he believes Fairshake had already shifted its target to October.
