Doubao Phone 2nd Gen Starts at 5,999 Yuan: AI Phone Operation Success Rate Exceeds 80%
Beating AI News Flash: Nubia NaviX Ultra is officially launched and on sale. The 12GB+512GB version is priced at 5,999 yuan, while the top-spec 16GB+1TB version is priced at 7,499 yuan, starting at 5,499 yuan after national subsidies. It is the first mass-produced phone equipped with the consumer version of Doubao Mobile Assistant; the earlier M153 was only a technical preview version.
The launch event also finally clarified how the second generation operates apps. The previous GUI simulated clicking has not been removed, and the "operate phone" capability remains. The model will automatically choose the execution method based on the task. Nubia Lab says the current end-to-end task success rate exceeds 80%, and it can operate system apps, ByteDance apps, and some third-party apps that have already been integrated.
Another route is MCP. Third-party services can directly open APIs for Doubao to call, without requiring the AI to watch the screen and click step by step. Services such as Caocao Mobility and Qishui Music have already been integrated, and Feishu has also opened interfaces for sending messages, scheduling meetings, and knowledge Q&A. Earlier, LatePost said that super apps such as Alibaba and Tencent will mainly adopt this approach of proactively opening interfaces.
This generation also allows multiple AI tasks to be queued and executed in the background, with higher-priority tasks able to be inserted at any time. When AI is operating a certain app, if the user opens that app themselves, it will pause and continue only after the user exits.
