Ant Group Open-Sources 6B Design Model: Specializing in UI Posters, Generates and Then Decomposes Layers for Further Editing

动察 Beating AI News Flash: Ant Ling (inclusionAI) has open-sourced the Ming-Image-0.1-Design series, including two 6B models. Design specializes in generating UI, Dashboards, infographics, and posters; Layer breaks down an already generated design image into transparent layers that can be individually moved, replaced, and modified. Both models are under the MIT license.

Design supports structured prompts of up to 8K tokens, can generate a complete page in one pass, and can also directly produce RGBA assets with transparent backgrounds. Layer can break a design image into 2 to 9 layers, including text, cards, main subjects, and background, then recombine them back into the original image.

Ant has also simultaneously open-sourced Design Skill and PPT Skill. The former connects design generation, asset decomposition, and front-end coding; the latter can restore a flat image into a PowerPoint that can continue to have its text, images, and layout modified.

In the Artificial Analysis UI/UX Design open-weight sub-ranking published by Ant, Ming-Image-0.1-Design ranks first with 1082 Elo.

The models have now launched on OpenRouter and can be used for free.
