Justin Sun Discusses Five Major Opportunity Tracks in the AI Era: Crypto, Academic Data, Biopharmaceuticals, Financial Insurance, and AI Infrastructure Services
October 9: Justin Sun stated on Shao Allen's podcast "How Can Young People Seize Opportunities in the AI Era?" that AI will drive explosive innovation across all industries, and the five major opportunity tracks he currently favors for young people are: Crypto, academic data, biopharmaceuticals, financial insurance, and AI foundational services.
Regarding the field of academic data derivation, Justin Sun believes that disciplines such as astronomy and biology, which rely on large amounts of experimental or observational data, present significant opportunities. Data is currently abundant but lacks processing methods, making it suitable to be handled by AI.
Regarding biopharmaceuticals and genetic health management, he is highly optimistic about biopharmaceuticals and gene sequencing analysis. Drug R&D offers high returns, gene data already has full sequencing capability, and AI can be combined to predict future health management.
Regarding algorithmic reconstruction in the financial insurance industry, existing algorithms in insurance and other financial industries closely related to life and health are outdated and await disruptive innovation based on new logic and methods.
Regarding Crypto payments and low-precision computation, Justin Sun believes that Crypto, as a global payment system, is naturally suited for AI API calls, supports low-precision computation below traditional currency units, and enables instant settlement, making it closely tied to the AI track.
Justin Sun is also optimistic about AI foundational services and data annotation. There are opportunities in LLM data cleaning and annotation. The founder of Scale AI sold the data annotation company to Facebook for $10 billion, demonstrating the commercial value of this field.
Justin Sun also stated that ages 20 to 40 are the golden years of greatest creativity. Opportunities abound in the AI era, and young people should seize them well.
