The business focus of this transaction is to enhance Starlink Mobile's coverage capabilities. SpaceX plans to combine its direct-to-cell satellite constellation with terrestrial networks to advance its mobile carrier deployment in the United States. The company also stated that the FCC approved its deployment of 15,000 next-generation mobile communication satellites this week.
A volume rebound occurred in the trading window after the news was disclosed. According to TradingBeats monitoring, based on the seller's announcement at 04:17, the SPCX perpetual contract price on Hyperliquid rebounded from $160.89 to $164.54 over the following 4 hours, up about 2.27%; first-hour trading volume was approximately $23.57 million, an increase of about 174.8% from $8.58 million in the hour before the announcement.
