Well-known leveraged compounding trader AguilaTrades suffers losses on both long and short positions, with principal down from 700,000 to just 250,000.
On October 9, on-chain analyst Ember (@EmberCN) observed that well-known position-compounding trader @AguilaTrades went long on BTC yesterday at $82,823 but triggered a stop-loss after a decline, losing $300,000; early today, the trader reversed course and opened a short position of 200 BTC (approximately $16.48 million) at $81,743. BTC subsequently rebounded, leaving the short position with an unrealized loss of $150,000. Caught on both sides, the trader's initial capital of $700,000 has now been reduced to roughly $250,000.
