Opinion: Bitcoin's current price action resembles late 2025 to early 2026, with above $80,000 as a key support level

October 10: Crypto analyst Darkfost posted on X platform stating that Bitcoin's current trend is quite similar to the market pattern from late 2025 to early 2026, with the price continuously fluctuating around the capital-weighted cost basis, and $80,500 may be a key support level in the near term. Unlike the realized price, which only calculates the purchase price, the capital-weighted cost basis indicator weights the holding cost based on the scale of invested capital, and is therefore regarded as an important area for measuring the market's average profit and loss status.

Darkfost added that the current area is a key pivot where investors on average are at the critical point between profit and loss, and market uncertainty may prompt more investors to take action. The current $80,500 level may play a supporting role, but subsequent trends still require continuous attention.
