Justin Sun: TRON Post-Quantum Cryptography Goes Live on Testnet

Oct 10, 20:06

On October 10, according to Cointelegraph, TRON founder Justin Sun recently confirmed on social media platform X that the project's team has moved into the practical implementation phase of its defensive upgrade based on post-quantum cryptography. The relevant modules have now officially launched on the TRON testnet.

Developed under the leadership of TRON Labs, this upgrade employs a hybrid signature mechanism that combines traditional cryptographic algorithms with quantum-resistant mathematical problems to preemptively avoid security vulnerabilities caused by breakthroughs in computing power. Officials stated that the current primary objective is to conduct network stability stress tests and security audits. The smart contract verification environment has been fully opened to the public.

Regarding the specific timeline for subsequent consensus layer parameter iterations and the full mainnet migration, the development team indicated that priority must be given to completing all basic data monitoring. No specific node upgrade schedule or fund migration milestones have been set at this time.
