Opinion: Bitcoin whale cohorts show significant reduction over the past 24 hours, FOMC curse may strike again

Oct 28, 19:40

October 28 - According to analyst alicharts, despite Bitcoin rising over 1% today, it is still highly likely to be affected by the FOMC curse and experience another significant decline.

According to the data provided, Bitcoin whale cohorts have recently realized approximately $156 million in profits, which increases potential selling pressure. Meanwhile, whale holdings have also decreased by about 8,162 BTC in the past 24 hours, worth approximately $664 million. This decline indicates that large holders are reducing exposure ahead of the FOMC decision.

alicharts believes that Bitcoin's current key support level is near $81,000, where according to URPD, nearly 1 million BTC were traded before that level. If it breaks below, the next levels to watch are $77,000, then $67,000. To turn bullish, Bitcoin needs to break above $84,500, where approximately 620,000 BTC were traded.

Additionally, recent FOMC and Bitcoin price volatility patterns show that Bitcoin's volatility in the first hour after the meeting is typically less than 1%. A clearer direction often emerges in the following 24 hours and usually persists until a week later.
