November 4th, according to CNN data, the Democratic Party has secured 50 seats in the Senate elections, while the Republican Party has only 37 seats, and the Democratic Party has achieved a net gain of 5 seats. Based on previous estimates, the Democratic Party needed to flip 4 seats to regain the Senate majority.

In this Senate election, the 5 flipped seats are Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, and the most "upset" Texas. CNN predicts that Democratic candidate Adam Hamilton will also defeat Republican Senator Roger Marshall in Kansas.

In the House elections, 234 seats have been decided so far, with the Democratic Party winning 141 seats (flipping 9 seats), and the Republican Party winning only 93 seats.

The election forecasting agency Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ) has predicted that the Democratic Party will win control of the US House of Representatives, reclaiming the House majority after four years as the minority party, and the US will thus enter a new era of divided government.
