Trump congratulates Democrats on election victory, says Iran war will end 'when I say it ends'
November 4 - According to CBS, U.S. President Trump congratulated the Democrats on their midterm election victories. Trump said, "Congratulations to the Democrats. I look forward to working with you for the good of our country." Trump also stated, "I know many Democrats, and I have the absolute veto power. I believe we can find solutions to problems. I think they will be willing to work with me; otherwise, I will veto everything, and they won't want that to happen." Explaining the reasons for Republican candidates' losses, Trump added, "In some cases, voters didn't like those candidates; in other cases, those candidates were not my friends, and the Republican grassroots voters know that better than anyone. Therefore, they did not actively participate in voting. If I were on the ballot, we would have won easily, which is regrettable. But I did not run." When asked if he was frustrated by this, Trump said he "had done his best" and claimed he "had gone all out." Additionally, Trump talked about the Iran war, saying the war would "end when I say it ends."
