DeepSeek Announces API Web Search and Crawling Fees: 5 Yuan per 1,000 Successful Requests

October 18 - DeepSeek has issued an announcement that the DeepSeek API now supports web search and crawling, billed per request at a unit price of 5 yuan per 1,000 successful requests. The announcement states that users currently using the DeepSeek API in DeepSeek Harness/Claude Code/Codex already access the Search/Fetch interfaces through server-side tool calls, and these Search/Fetch interface calls are currently not billed. They will be charged per call starting at 00:00 Beijing time on November 1, 2026.
