DeepSeek Announces API Web Search and Scraping Fees: 5 CNY Per 1,000 Successful Requests

On October 18, DeepSeek announced that the DeepSeek API now supports web search and scraping, billed per request at a unit price of 5 RMB per 1,000 successful requests. The announcement notes that users currently using the DeepSeek API in DeepSeek Harness/Claude Code/Codex are already accessing the Search/Fetch interface through server-side tool calls. These Search/Fetch interface calls are currently unbilled and will begin incurring per-call fees starting at 00:00 Beijing Time on November 1, 2026.
