Nov 3, 02:53
November 3 — According to Bloomberg, Crypto.com will shut down its consumer app in Hong Kong on February 1, 2027. Affected users have been notified in advance; the company will provide guidance on closing accounts and assist users in withdrawing funds in an orderly manner. A Crypto.com spokesperson said the move is aimed at optimizing global operations and channeling resources toward markets with more sustainable long-term opportunities. The closure does not affect its application, through Foris DAX HK Limited, for a Hong Kong virtual asset trading platform license, which targets the institution-oriented Crypto.com Exchange platform and remains pending approval by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
