Anthropic Adjusts Claude Code Prompts to Restrict Cloning Existing Games

On November 3 that, according to The Verge, Anthropic has updated the system prompt for Claude Code on Opus 5.5 to guide the tool to avoid replicating specific games created by others.

Addy Osmani of Anthropic stated that the company added two sentences to the prompt because using Claude to infringe on intellectual property violates its acceptable use policy. He noted that original games, games of the same genre, and games developed based on users' own designs and assets should still function normally; the company will continue to adjust to find an appropriate balance.
