November 3: Molly Abraham, a member of Coinbase's legal team, posted on X that the U.S. state of New Jersey has formally withdrawn its lawsuit against Coinbase's staking business and lifted the cease-and-desist order it had previously issued, meaning New Jersey users will be able to resume using staking services after a pause of more than three years. Abraham said Wisconsin, Maryland, California and Washington state are the next targets. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong reposted the news, saying New Jersey users will soon be able to participate in staking again.
