Factory Acquires Coding Agent Platform HumanLayer, Product to Be Open-Sourced

November 5: According to Factory's announcement, enterprise AI software engineering company Factory announced its acquisition of coding agent collaboration platform HumanLayer, with co-founders Dex Horthy and Kyle Mistele joining; the HumanLayer platform will be open-sourced, and during the transition period users can export their data, migrate to Factory, or self-host the open-source version.
