Bitcoin life insurance company Meanwhile closes $37.5 million funding round
On October 10, according to Cointelegraph, Bermuda-headquartered comprehensive Bitcoin life insurance company Meanwhile announced it has secured $37.5 million in new funding.
The funds will be primarily used to expand into overseas markets to meet the surging cross-border demand for Bitcoin life insurance policies across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Co-founder and CEO Zac Townsend stated, “Affluent families worldwide commonly hold Bitcoin but have consistently lacked regulated channels for asset succession. This financing round is designed to help us keep pace with the growth in client inquiries brought by brokers.”
Currently, Meanwhile has launched the BTC Life 1-Pay (single-premium whole life insurance) for high-net-worth clients outside the U.S., and the BTC 10-Pay product for U.S. taxpayers. These policies can be held under individual, trust, or corporate names, with their core function centered on wealth management inheritance for cryptocurrency assets.
