PancakeSwap Proposes Raising LP Fee Share to 88% and Cutting Daily CAKE Emission by 69%
On October 14, according to official announcements, PancakeSwap's core team (The Kitchen) released the tokenomics proposal "The Flip". The proposal recommends increasing the trading fee share for liquidity providers (LPs) across all 11 supported chains for both PancakeSwap v3 and Infinity to 88%, with the remaining 12% allocated as protocol fees to the treasury, while v2 remains unchanged.
Meanwhile, the proposal suggests reducing the daily actual issuance of CAKE by approximately 69%, from 22,500 daily to 7,000 daily. The remaining 7,000 CAKE per day will be fully distributed to a new ecosystem growth fund named "Pantry" for market expansion, partnerships, and initial liquidity provisioning for new pools. If the proposal passes, these adjustments are scheduled to begin execution in November 2026 and are expected to be fully deployed by the end of January 2027.
