Binance Platform's Shitcoin Trading Volume Surges to 60%, BTC Falls to 22%

Aug 3, 23:07

August 3rd, the current Bitcoin spot trading volume on Binance and other major exchanges has dropped to a low level, approaching the level seen at the end of the 2023 bear market, indicating a waning interest in BTC by the market.

Data shows that in May, Bitcoin dominated the trading volume on Binance, accounting for nearly 40%, while Ethereum and altcoin trading volume was relatively low. Now, the market trading structure has shifted, with altcoin trading volume accounting for over 60%, Bitcoin's share dropping to 22%, and Ethereum at approximately 18%.

Darkfost stated that Bitcoin's price has been relatively stable for weeks, and the market is entering a "boring stage," with some investors turning to altcoins to try to capture trading opportunities in the current low volatility environment.

Analysts suggest that as most altcoins have experienced more significant pullbacks than Bitcoin, some investors are betting on altcoins to potentially outperform BTC in the future. However, this strategy carries higher risks and requires investors to engage in careful position management.
