August 3rd, POAP founder Isabel announced that after more than 5 years of operation, the POAP project will gradually come to an end.

Isabel stated that over the past few years, POAP has minted millions of digital collectibles in hundreds of communities and has collaborated with global institutions such as Coinbase, Amex, Warner Music Group (WMG), and Bayer. In addition, POAP has completed large-scale applications during Devcon events, minting over 8,000 collectibles in a week and launching the Airport Rally event, allowing global collectors to obtain POAP at airports.

Isabel mentioned that POAP holds special significance for many, but due to the financing cycle of the crypto industry and the impact of distribution models, establishing a sustainable business model without sacrificing the project's core values has become challenging. Furthermore, the rapidly changing technological infrastructure and market cycles have added to operational challenges.

She concluded from POAP's experience that the user community is the most underestimated asset of a business, truly valuable products can spread through user advocacy; connecting with users remains a core value that should not be overshadowed by short-term technological hype and price speculation; in a rapidly changing market environment, long-term accumulation and brand trust will become important moats.

Isabel mentioned that the next steps have not been decided yet, but she is contemplating the development direction of the enterprise’s Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy in the era of AI.
