August 9th, according to analyst Jukan, Bank of America predicted that Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will announce specific shareholder return plans as follows:

For Samsung Electronics, Bank of America expects it to use 50% of its free cash flow to reward shareholders, mainly including: distributing a special dividend of over 30 trillion Korean won in the third or fourth quarter; repurchasing over 40 trillion Korean won of shares in the first half of 2027; distributing a year-end dividend of 30 trillion Korean won in April 2027. In addition, Samsung Electronics will also repurchase over 30 trillion Korean won of shares for employee compensation.

For SK Hynix, Bank of America similarly expects it to allocate 50% of its free cash flow to reward shareholders, but the proportion of share buybacks will be higher than cash dividends, with an estimated amount of over 40 trillion Korean won for share repurchases and over 20 trillion Korean won for cash dividends.
