Little Red Book Promotes AI Personal Shopping: Ask a Direct Question to Recommend a Product and Proceed to Checkout
According to Analysys Qianfan, Little Red Book is developing an "AI Shopping Guide" feature. Users can interact directly with the AI, which will recommend products during the Q&A, display product cards, and provide links for placing orders. The project is led by Daoxuan (Pan Boyuan).
Little Red Book has already implemented some AI features in e-commerce, such as automatically summarizing store reputations. The new AI Shopping Guide takes a step forward from "helping you view reviews" to "helping you select products and guiding you through the ordering process." In April of this year, Little Red Book also established the AI-first department, Dots.
Little Red Book previously disclosed that 39 million users engage in explicit product search behavior daily, totaling 140 million voluntary product searches. If the AI Shopping Guide is officially launched, Little Red Book will be able to directly recommend products in these search scenarios and further guide users towards transactions.
