'Big Short' Michael Burry Joins Minerva as Senior Advisor to Help Launch Bearish Strategy Fund
September 16: Michael Burry, the real-life figure behind "The Big Short" and an investor, will join Minerva Investment Management as a senior advisor and assist the firm in launching a new fund focused on short-selling strategies. The fund is expected to launch within a month.
Burry has recently shifted his focus to AI hyperscale data center operators and chip manufacturers, and criticized related companies for adopting aggressive asset depreciation practices. Currently, he holds bearish positions in Nvidia and Palantir, and his increasingly cautious judgment on the AI industry will also be incorporated into the new fund's investment strategy.
