Claude Code Projects waitlist fully opened, queued Pro and Max users can all use it now
Beating AI News Flash: Anthropic has announced that all Pro and Max waitlisted users who previously applied for Claude Code Projects have now been granted testing access. This feature was launched in September and was initially available only to a small group of users. This expansion broadens access, but it remains in Beta testing and has not yet been fully rolled out to all paying users.
Projects essentially assigns a managing Agent to a project. Users only need to continuously submit requirements, and it will automatically break down tasks and distribute them to multiple Claude Code sessions to work simultaneously. Each session independently writes code, runs tests, and submits PRs, then reports back to the manager upon completion, eliminating the need for users to assign tasks and monitor progress themselves.
These sessions share project materials and memory, run in the cloud by default, and can continue working even when the computer is turned off. If a task requires the use of local files or software, it can also be designated to execute on the user's own computer.
