Jupiter launches YOLO, a high-leverage trading product benchmarked against PaperTrade, supporting up to 1000x leverage.
October 15: Jupiter co-founder SIONG posted that Jupiter Labs has launched an experimental high-leverage trading product YOLO, supporting 500x to 1000x leverage. The product draws on the JLP model, simulating positions according to real market prices, but profits and losses occur for real, without the need to actually execute leveraged positions of the corresponding scale in the market.
YOLO's profits are paid out by the liquidity pool. If the liquidity pool does not have enough liquidity to redeem profitable positions, the relevant payments may enter a queue rather than arriving instantly. SIONG emphasized that this model is different from traditional perpetual contracts and has its own risks and limitations.
SIONG stated that launching YOLO under Jupiter Labs is intended to give such new financial products and trading experiences room for experimentation without having to fit existing products. Currently, YOLO is still in its early stages and has room for further improvement. He also stated that the launch of YOLO was inspired by PaperTrade.
