Jensen Huang Urges German Chancellor in Person: AI Is the Last Chance to Rebuild Industry, Embrace It Now or It Will Be Too Late

Oct 20, 18:43

October 20 — During a fireside chat at the "Invest in Germany Summit" held in Berlin, Germany, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and German Chancellor Merz engaged in a dialogue on the future of artificial intelligence and German industry. Huang personally urged Merz that Germany possesses deep skills, expertise, and craftsmanship in the fields of physical products and electromechanical products, which are its core strengths. However, the power of this industrial revolution is immense and the opportunity may come only once, and it must be seized. The biggest challenge facing most developed regions currently is population aging and labor force decline, and Germany's craftsmanship and skills accumulated over generations are being lost as the population ages.

Huang suggested that Germany should use artificial intelligence to solidify these valuable knowledge and experiences, and through AI programming and teaching, keep these skills within Germany. Huang then echoed Merz's remarks, proposing to use AI to "rebuild Germany" as a key opportunity to revitalize Germany's industrial competitiveness.
