Kazakhstan Court Bans Six Platforms Including Coinbase and BingX from Providing Unauthorized Digital Asset Services

On October 20, the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) Court in Kazakhstan issued an injunction against unlicensed crypto platforms providing digital asset services, banning Coinbase, BingX, Huobi Global (HTX), BitMart, Bitcoin.com, and WEEX from operating within its jurisdiction, and extending the restrictions to block access through the Google and Apple app stores.

The Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) had previously filed lawsuits against multiple non-compliant platforms, noting that unlicensed platforms lack asset protection and dispute resolution mechanisms. LBank was removed from the list after proactively restricting access within Kazakhstan, while nine other platforms voluntarily limited access to persuade regulators to drop the lawsuits.
