Reuters Poll: All 100 Economists Expect Fed to Raise Rates in December

October 20 - A Reuters survey shows that all 100 economists surveyed expect the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates in December 2026, while possibly holding off on action in October.

Among them, 94 expect the federal funds rate to rise to 4.00%-4.25% by the end of 2026. In comparison, in the September survey, only 29 economists held this expectation out of 76 respondents.
