Trump plans to invite UFC president to serve as White House press secretary, both sides plan to meet on Monday.
November 8 - According to The Wall Street Journal, Dana White, CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), stated that he plans to meet with U.S. President Trump on Monday to discuss Trump's invitation for him to take over as the next White House Press Secretary. Trump posted on social media on Saturday that he had offered the position to White, but it remains unclear whether the UFC head will accept the invitation. When asked about the possibility, White said at a UFC press conference: "I already have a lot of work to do."
A person close to the UFC head revealed that Trump had previously offered this position to White as well. Trump's social media post indicates that, following the Republican Party's sweeping losses in the midterm elections, Trump is preparing for intense political battles over the next two years. He stated that he needs the UFC head and his team to "help us fend off the crazy left."
